Hi Concord, Middle Family! My name is Erica Thompson and I am thrilled to join the CMS family. I have been in education for over 12 years of experience in the area's of special education, general education and school administration! I started my career at Irvin Elementary, so joining the CMS family was like coming home! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children playing sports and working on our family farm! I am a lover of baseball, reading, and spending time on the beach! I look forward to a fabulous year of teaching and learning! GO MINERS!

 

Mr. White

Mr. Renae White – Assistant Principal

As a Concord Middle alum, Mr. White is excited to be re-joining the Miner community. He was born and raised in in Cabarrus County, attending Beverly Hills Elementary, Concord Middle, and Concord High School. Mr. White attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and earned his B.A. in K-12 Music Education and also earned his Masters in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has been a middle school teacher for 11 years and going on his 3rd year as a school administrator with Cabarrus County Schools. Mr. White has been a part of this community for close to 40 years, and looking forward to working with the students and families that he serves on a daily basis.

 

Mrs. Mizelle

Mrs. Elizabeth Mizelle – Assistant Principal

Elizabeth (Beth) Mizelle joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2015 as a fourth grade reading and writing teacher at Winecoff Elementary School. She transferred to Charles E. Boger Elementary School in 2018. During her tenure at Boger, she served on several committees and led the school's VEX Robotics team. She joined the Winkler staff in 2020 as a sixth-grade science teacher then moved into the Skills Plus/Interventionist role. She also completed her principal internship at the school. Beth earned a bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania; she earned her master's degree in school administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is married and has one daughter, Kenzi. During her spare time, she loves a good thriller novel and spending time outdoors.
