
Dr. Adam Auerbach
Principal
Dr. Auerbach is originally from Florida and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Florida in 1998. He began teaching in NC during the 1999–2000 school year at Mallard Creek Elementary (CMS). In 2002, he moved to Cabarrus County and helped open Cox Mill Elementary. He holds master’s degrees in Elementary Education and School Administration from UNC Charlotte. In 2005, he became an assistant principal at Weddington Hills Elementary and helped open Cox Mill High School in 2009 as assistant principal. In 2011, he earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Wingate University and was named principal at Wolf Meadow Elementary. He was CCS Principal of the Year (2014–2015) and Regional NC Principal of the Year (SW Region, 2015), later serving as principal at Concord High School (2016) and again CCS Principal of the Year (2021–2022). Dr. Auerbach was named principal at Concord Middle School in June 2025. His wife Anna teaches in Cabarrus County; sons Alec and Axel attend CCS.
